How important are daily payroll records in a manufacturing loss?

September 6, 2014 by Hutson Resource Group Leave a Comment

ixmationOne of our client companies, Ixmation Group, suffered a business interruption loss at their manufacturing facility. Because they started collecting the correct employee payroll expense data immediately after the loss, they recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The single biggest mistake companies make after a loss is the failure to keep the right records. By having detailed daily records that clearly show what the employees did on an hourly basis, the company recovered 80 times what the insurance company originally offered for labor charges. The right records get the right results.
